Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park is the most visited tourist attraction in South Africa. This is actually one of the best parks in Africa and offers the best wildlife experience on par with only the best parks in the world.

This largest park in South Africa stretches over nearly 2 million hectares. Exploring the park is easy with its roads and picnic sites. The best of times to visit could be cooler weather, between April and September because of the hot and rainy summer climate in this area. The area is also susceptible to mosquitoes, which makes winter weather ideal. Please pack your mosquito repellant and get Malaria vaccine.

The park combines two provinces, Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces and borders two countries, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. An even more exiting project of unfencing the borders is underway. This will result in a much larger space for animals to enjoy their freedom.

Kruger National Park prides itself in having largest number of mammal species in Africa. You will find lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, leopards, tigers, birds like, hornbill, kori bustard, lappet-faced vulture, martial eagle, pel’s fishing owl, saddle-bill stork and a lot more species than we will ever be able to acknowledge.

Kruger has a variety of accommodation for camping and luxurious formal dwelling. If you choose to experience the true wild experience, you may sleep in the safari tents or bungalows; otherwise choose the guest houses, cottages or lodges. This all adds up to an amazing experience of waking up next to an amazingly close wild animal. Be prepared to drive around with the help of a guide.
